Build a Screentop pack

The Screentop workflow prepares a ZIP pack that you download from Studio and upload to Screentop. It is not a hosted live deck.

Build a pack

  1. Save the design and dataset changes you want included.
  2. Resolve Export QA errors and inspect representative variants.
  3. Choose the Screentop export action.
  4. Wait for the pack to finish and download the ZIP.
  5. Upload that file through Screentop’s pack workflow.

Rebuild behaviour

Screentop keeps the latest successfully built pack in Studio. Rebuilding replaces the retained pack rather than creating the version history used by Tabletop Simulator.

Keep a downloaded copy outside Studio when a particular playtest must remain reproducible.

Before uploading

  • Confirm the card count.
  • Open a few images from the ZIP.
  • Check that fronts and backs are paired as expected.
  • Confirm the pack came from the intended project and design.
  • Name the external playtest version so teammates know which pack is active.

Troubleshooting

If a pack fails, fix the reported source problem before rebuilding. A missing project image, unresolved binding, unavailable reference, or font issue will remain in a new attempt until the source changes.

If Screentop still shows an older pack, confirm that the newly downloaded ZIP was uploaded and activated in the external service. Studio cannot replace a file already uploaded to another account.
